Fairfield Community Arts Center Wedding // Fairfield, Ohio

Where do I even start with this beautiful couple?! We had originally booked their wedding for later in 2021, but, to their surprise: Cassie was pregnant! This amazing little miracle meant we needed to bump up their wedding so she could still fit into her custom dress when they said their “I do’s.” So that meant we had to plan out the entire wedding (including new venue!) in just a few months.

It was a hot day, but the Community Arts building in Fairfield has these gorgeous windows in the front, letting the natural light pour in, but keepin’ us cool from the sun. These two were just so happy to be getting married and starting a family, absolutely nothing could bring down their moods, so it was a blast to shoot! Congratulations to both them and their families as they welcome the newest little member to the fam in January.

The Honey Farm, Lebanon, Ohio // Summer engagement shoot

Michael and Taylor will be getting married at The Honey Farm, in Lebanon, Ohio is October 2022. Not only is this an amazingly unique venue that offers so many picturesque spots on the property, they also let you come explore the grounds and take your engagement photos there! I’m so glad that they jumped at the chance to hang out with me here. The tall grasses, wild flowers, and string lights are a summer session dream come true! We ran around in bare feet, got sweaty, and danced in the golden glow of the sunset. And it was magical. This is just a small taste of their wedding day, and I for one cannot wait to do this all over again with the cool breeze of fall and the crunch of the leaves under our feet.

Hueston Woods, Oxford, Oh // Summer engagement shoot

Alison and Nick are those special kind of people that just go with the flow no matter what’s going on. So I knew this would be the perfect couple to take to one of my all time favorite spots: Hueston Woods, in Oxford, Ohio.

They both graduated from Miami University in Oxford too, so this was such a fitting place to celebrate the newest chapter of their lives. It was SO humid, and the beach was the perfect place to cool off at the end of our time together. And, this was during the great cicada invasion of 2021. But, I am happy to report that not ONE cicada came near us while we were there. (Praise the lord!)

I am over the moon to be seeing these two tie the knot in May of 2023!
